In October and November of 2014, a customised truck activation unit visited over 52 locations spreading hype and awareness across New Zealand. Led by “the Cricket Crew” - our team of cricket specialist brand ambassadors - we set about sending the cricket-mad Kiwi public into Cricket World Cup fever to sell out the Tournament!
Implicit to the design of the experience was four concepts: Celebrating the Trophy, Participation, History & Heroes and Promotion. Each was aimed to build longer dwell time and involvement - and create opportunities for sharing and media.
The 2014 Trophy Tour was featured on several days of TVNZ Breakfast with Sam Wallace as it made it’s way around different locations in New Zealand.
Orange Productions was the event delivery partner for CWC2015 in New Zealand and worked with associated partners NZ Cricket, Cricket Australia, Hyundai and ATEED.
Projects we worked on included the CWC2015 2014 Trophy Tour; CWC2015 Fan Experiences; CWC2015 Gala Dinner; CWC2015 In stadia Hospitality Spaces; ATEED 100 Days to Go Cricket On The Harbour Bridge; and the Black Caps Welcome Home.
